I see it here left and right. I really don't understand why someone would post the amount they bet, units is fine, but when i see someone post they bet 3 dimes on this or 2 dimes on that, honestly i dont believe them.its not like anyone cares. The guys i do know who bet a few dimes on games, arent running to a chat board 3 seconds after they place the bet to brag about it.

I thought this board was for informational purposes.

When i see someone post i bet 5 dimes on cincinnatti -6 posted halfway through the second quarter im amazed.

Do you not have anything better to do than to try to impress a bunch of prople you dont know?

If youre going to tell a lie, tell a good one, a believable one.

If youre going to post the line you just got, dont post the opening line, when the game opened at -2 and is now at -6 and youre just posting now. Claiming that was the line in the paper is a real red flag.

Instead of trying to impress us with fake wagers, for some of you, it might be better to forget about the football game, hop into your Ferrari, pick up your porn star girlfriend, drive to the airport, and head off to some exotic destination for some sun, sex, drinks, and fun.

there`s no mandatory post number needed before posting your opinion here(that i`m aware of).....it`s your right and your opinion.....and a pretty good one....

if you decide to post your plays and keep track of your record,be warned that you will inevitably get some heat....i post some opinions and some plays sporadically and don`t keep a running log of all that stuff....i try and follow "write-up" guys because i like knowing why someone thinks the way they do...

don`t follow blindly....and if you do,be prepared to lose and keep your mouth shut about it....and as i said, and it sounds like you feel the same,i follow the board for info....and you can get good info here...

i respect guys that post and keep records here....not necessarily because they are great cappers....but because they open themselves up for sniping and pot shoting....take the heat,so to speak...i find it unnecessary..and i don`t need the grief,or the adulation........but it takes some coulumes ....

g.l.,parlaycard......

Just because Parlaycard has only posted six times does not mean that he has not been around to view the Forum. I was lurking for quite awhile before I ever posted and have only posted some 80 time in six months. Let the man make his observation. It is simply his opinion.

Parlay, there are a lot of egos in the Forum, just as there are throughout all aspects of life. It is easy for people to make claims and for others to call people out when no one knows who they are. They have to look themselves in the mirror at the end of each day.

So someone gets a line that three points better or plays with a never ending bankroll, oh well. Enjoy or ignore the posts...just don't take any of it too seriously.

Best of luck to you.

once i have 1300+ posts, i will know im cool and my opinion counts.

thanks for the advice.

just one question, how many QUALITY posts do i need for my opinion to count? or should i just follow protocol and post "nice play" or "good job" to boost my post count?

PCard,
I think I "watched" the board for about half a season before I jumped in and posted anything. You can have a good handle on who/what to read.

I would just advise you to avoid posts/posters who trumpet there great picks when a game is decided. I happens on every board I assure you.

Good luck to you, and if you always throw out useful information or bring up an interesting point many on the board will give you the respect I think you are looking for.

Winning is the name of the game!

its not really the amount of posts, I think a better gauge would be the quality of people's posts...being that some people could post often, but have nothing useful to say

Parlaycard,

I took a while to make my first post -- so I agree with the other thread's comments that the # of posts doesn't matter. I think you make an unfair accusation, however, against the thread. There are a few fools on here -- just like you will find a few braggards, blowhards, jerks on any other site, city, casino, etc. Take the good, which far outweighs the bad, with the bad and enjoy the site!
